IMPORTANT 2026 UPDATE — RTA Route 201:
The official RTA/Mwasalat Dubai-to-Oman bus service (Route 201, previously AED 55) has been suspended since February 2023 and remains suspended as of June 2026. The only current public bus service is Al Khanjry Transport (AED 100/ticket). For groups, private transport with Gulf Bus Rental offers door-to-door service, border assistance, and often better value per person for parties of 5 or more.
SINCE
2010
Since 2010, Gulf Bus Rental has operated private cross-border transport between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman — managing group departures from every Dubai district to Muscat, Sohar, Salalah, Nizwa, Sur, and the Musandam Peninsula.
Licensed by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DED Permit No. DED-1027532) and operating a fully RTA-certified fleet, our drivers are among the most experienced cross-border professionals in the UAE — familiar with every aspect of the Hatta Al Wajajah border crossing: documentation requirements, queue management, visa-on-arrival procedures, and the fastest routes through both UAE exit and Oman entry immigration.
We operate privately — meaning your vehicle is exclusive to your group. No shared buses, no fixed timetables, no stops for other passengers. You depart when you want, stop for breaks when you choose, and arrive directly at your Oman destination.
Every Dubai to Oman transfer is backed by our commitment to punctuality, safety, and comfort. Our drivers undergo rigorous training in defensive driving and cross-border protocols. They know the Hatta border inside and out — from the fastest lanes to the smoothest documentation process.
Every Gulf Bus Rental vehicle travelling to Oman carries comprehensive UAE insurance and a valid Omani ‘Orange Card’ vehicle insurance document — required for all private vehicles crossing the Hatta border. Vehicle registration, cross-border permits, and driver documentation are handled entirely by us. Passengers need only their personal travel documents.
Our drivers have made the Dubai–Muscat crossing hundreds of times. They know the GCC priority lanes, the fastest processing points, the documentation inspected at each stage, and how to minimise your time at the border. Your driver manages the crossing process — you remain in the vehicle or relax at the rest area while paperwork is processed.
Cross-border travel doesn’t follow office hours. Gulf Bus Rental’s Dubai-to-Oman service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Early morning departures (4–6 AM) are popular for business travellers wanting to avoid border queues. Late evening departures (after 9 PM) also see shorter crossing times. We operate on all UAE and Omani public holidays.
Discover what makes us the preferred choice for cross-border travel—reliable service, professional drivers, comfortable fleets, transparent pricing, and seamless border coordination for a stress-free journey from Dubai to Oman.
Unlike the public Al Khanjry bus (departing from a single point in Deira), Gulf Bus Rental picks up your group from any Dubai address — hotel, residence, office, DXB airport, or business park. No commuting to a bus station. Your journey starts at your door.
Every driver holds a valid UAE Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) licence and a cross-border transport permit for Oman routes. They have completed the Hatta border crossing dozens to hundreds of times and know every aspect of the UAE exit and Oman entry process.
Gulf Bus Rental has operated the Dubai–Oman route continuously since 2010. That is 15 years of border crossing experience, regulatory compliance with evolving UAE and Oman transport laws, and thousands of safe cross-border journeys. We know this route better than any newer competitor.
